Membership & Awards Committee

The Membership and Awards Committee is comprised of one Chair, one 1st Vice-Chair, and up to six at large members. The Committee Chair is nominated by the President and approved by the Executive Committee and serves a two-year term.

The Committee Chair cannot serve sequential terms. Half the committee members rotate off each year to allow for new representatives while assuring continuity in operations. Sensitivity will be given to ensure diversity among the committee members.

Committee Responsibilities

The Membership and Awards Committee is a permanent CRRWC Standing Committee. The Committee's duties are to recommend strategies and goals for increasing and enhancing membership in CRRWC, identifying and recommending members to the Board for Awards and recognition, and executing the approved strategies and goals.

The Committee recommends policies, procedures, and initiatives to assure a growing and vital membership in the CRRWC organization and awarding and recognizing club membership goal attainment.

Goals (2010 - 2012)

Increase Voting membership by 25%
Develop a 2 year Strategic Plan for retaining and increasing club membership
Conduct a membership survey to solicit feedback and ideas
Look at ways we can use technologies to increase membership benefits.
Look at how we currently connect members with each other and suggest options.
Look at defining "what the benefits of membership are", i.e. why should you be a member of CRRWC.
Articulate membership benefits and develop a plan to market them.
Complete GFRW and NFRW award proposals as applicable
